Gift Ideas for Girls around the age of 5 years old
With two girls in our house we are starting to feel like we have it ALL! However, our 5 yr old still wants new things, so I thought I’d share what she put on her Christmas Wish List.

Starting from the Top!

Dollie & Me Clothes

Our little girl has an Itty Bitty Baby Doll and an American Girl Doll, so instead of buying more dolls, she gets new outfits. My 5 yr old enjoys having matching clothes, so these little sets are great. I tried to make an outfit once for her dolls, but my forte is not in tiny items, as I quickly found out. You can snag these at Amazon* or Kohl’s (when they are on sale and/or with a coupon).

Fashion Plate Deluxe Kit

We haven’t tried this out yet, but one of our friends recommended it as fun for both Mommy & Daughter! It is hit or miss with the price on these during the holidays, but I wouldn’t pay more than $20-25 at Amazon*.

Elsa Spring Fever Dress

My little girl is still stuck on Frozen, so she wanted to update her dress up collection with the Spring Fever dress this year. I haven’t been able to find these in stores and they seem to be more expensive than what her Elsa Snow Queen Dress from Halloween cost. I went with Amazon* again on this item.

Barbie Glam Convertible

Again we have multiple Barbie Dolls, and changing their clothes is a pain, so I steered my daughter towards a car! I did debate on if the Jeep would be better, since it seats 4, but ultimately decided a convertible top is easier since you don’t have to shove them in. Hopefully it will hold up, but even if it doesn’t last long it is only $14 at Target.

KidKraft Dollhouse

Here is a big ticket item! This dollhouse comes highly recommended by close friends of ours. My daughter has played with the Majestic Mansion* and I love that full size Barbie dolls fit inside, it comes furnished, and there is room for multiple kids to play at once. WARNING: It is quite big; in fact, my in laws have it at their house and had to use a dolly to move the box…not really sure how wrapping is going to go :) Another great option is the Annabelle Dollhouse* also made by KidKraft.

We are trying to cut back on the amount of stuff in our house, so I am trying to stay away from buying a bunch of little stuff just to have more to open.

Stayed tuned for another Gift Guide later this week for Toddlers!
