I’m back today with ideas for toddler girls. Most of these gifts will work for ages 18 months – 3, maybe even 4 yr olds. Some of these items we have had for years and both our girls have gotten great use of them, and then there is one we hope is a hit!
Starting from the top left!
Hooded Towel
I love hooded towels for my girls, so as they outgrow their baby towels these are a great option. Of course you can find all different characters and animals, so choose something your kiddo is interested in. Here are some options from Amazon.
Hairbows
If your little girl is just now getting into wearing bows or is ready for bigger, blinged out bows, check out this set. Also, I am thinking about getting another set to split up for gifts for cousins and friends.
Dress Up Clothes
I would say 2 is the earliest they would want to start dressing up and I recommend buying dresses by size or there are trunk sets that have tops, skirts, and accessories. If they don’t have any dress up clothes then probably any princess would do, but in our house big sister likes to be Elsa, so little bit gets Anna!
Hello Highlights Magazine Subscription
Highlights Magazine publishes little magazine books for ages 0-2. My little one loves getting her new book in the mail every month, plus she likes the baby pictures on the back of the little ones waving by! The subscription is $39.96 per year which includes 12 issues on their site. It is usually easy to find $5 off coupons online, so search around before ordering.
Balance Bike
Last year, Santa brought our little bit the Bunzi 2-in-1 Balance Bike. We have actually kept it in our house for her to ride around. Soon we will be converting it, so she will have to work a little harder to balance. The price varies by color, but at Walmart it generally runs from $46-56 and Amazon from $56-75.
Museum Membership
For 3 years now, we get a Fort Worth Science & History Museum Family (5) Membership. It allows us to take 5 people and you get free passes to the Fort Worth Stock Show, which almost pays for the membership right off the bat. I really liked taking my older daughter when I was pregnant because it was air conditioned and I didn’t have to worry about the weather like the zoo.
Leap Pal Violet
Check this one out quick because it is on SALE for $11.99 and last week I saw it for $14.99 on Amazon. You can program the puppy so that it knows your child’s name, favorite food, favorite color, and a few other things. Little bit got this for her 2nd birthday and goes through spurt of playing with it. It is a little big, but I like it better than the Fisher Price Learn & Love Puppy (our’s would start randomly talking in the middle of the night).
Shopping Cart
This particular model has held up so well for us! I like the spot for a baby doll in the front, things don’t fall out the sides because they are solid, and there is shelf at the bottom. It isn’t very pretty, but it also doesn’t beat up the walls when the kids run into things. I highly recommend the Little Helpers Shopping Cart by Step 2!
Climbing Toy
The Toy Monster Monkey Bar Tower is the big ticket item ($130-150) for our little bit this Christmas, but big sis (age 5) can enjoy it with her. Since our 2nd child loves to climb, we knew we needed something, so she would stop not climb on furniture, cabinets, and us as much! I can’t wait to try this out in a couple of weeks. The other nice thing is if we move or want to move it, you can disassemble it and put it back together much easier than a swing set.
BOOKS!!!
Each of our kids gets a book from Santa every year. I know it is hard to know what books someone else’s kids already have, but my favorite books for gifts are Goodnight books. My MIL started buying the girls books on her trips, which tell a little bit about the place she was visiting. I think this is a great idea instead of t-shirts, magnets, cups, hats, etc. for souvenirs. Shown above is the book for our hometown, Goodnight Cowtown, but here is a link to another favorite, Goodnight NOLA.
If you have questions about any of these items, leave a comment below. Also, feel free to post suggestions for other gifts!
